Temporary left lane closures will be in effect on both Nottingham Road and Fosse Way, Bingham, approaching the Saxondale Roundabout, from Monday, 15th September until Saturday, 27th September 2025. The works will take place overnight between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM. These restrictions are necessary for National Highways to carry out maintenance works on the A52, including grass cutting, barrier checks and re-tensioning, drainage maintenance, and sign cleaning. Temporary Overnight Road Closures – A52 Bingham to Barrowby, 15th – 26th September
A temporary road closure will be in place on the A52 between Bingham and Barrowby, from Monday, 15th September 2025 until Friday, 26th September 2025. This is to enable drainage improvements maintenance and will be completed in phases.
Work will be carried out overnight, between 8pm and 6am.
Laybys will be closed continuously from 1pm Monday 15 September to 6am Saturday 27 September between Bingham and Barrowby.
During this time, a telecom service will be in place for residents/business requiring access.
A fully signed diversion route will be in place whilst we work at this location using the A1 and A46 via Newark.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout.

Temporary Traffic Signals – Long Acre, Bingham, 1st to 3rd September 2025
Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Long Acre, Bingham, at the junction with The Paddock, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily, starting Monday, 1st September until Wednesday, 3rd September 2025. Temporary Footpath Closure – Cogley Lane Foot Crossing, Bingham, 3rd to 4th September 2025
A temporary footpath closure will be in place at the Cogley Lane Foot Crossing, Bingham, from a point 100 metres north of its junction with Abbey Road for a distance of 25 metres in a northerly direction. The closure will be in effect from 10:30 PM on Wednesday, 3rd September 2025 until 5:35 AM on Thursday, 4th September 2025. The closure is required for tamping works being carried out by Network Rail. Please note that no alternative pedestrian route is available during this time. Temporary Traffic Signals – Nottingham Road, Bingham, 19th to 26th August 2025
Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Nottingham Road, Bingham, between the junctions of Stanhope Way and Brewsters Close, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily, starting Tuesday, 19th August until Tuesday, 26th August 2025. These measures are necessary for National Grid Electricity Distribution to carry out urgent excavation works to locate and repair a low voltage cable fault. Temporary Traffic Signals – Nottingham Road, Bingham, 26th August 2025
Temporary three-way traffic signals will be in operation on Nottingham Road, Bingham, approximately 40 metres east of its junction with Mallow Way, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, 26th August 2025. Temporary Overnight Road Closures – A52 Stragglethorpe to Saxondale, 19th – 22nd August
A temporary road closure will be in place on the A52 from Stragglethorpe to Saxondale Roundabout, from Tuesday, 19th July 2025 until Friday, 22nd August 2025. Maintenance work will include drainage improvements, inspection of safety barriers, road sweeping and vegetation clearance/grass cutting.
Work will be carried out overnight, between 8pm and 6am.
During this time, there will be escorted access for residents of Grantham Road and side roads. Main Street and Bingham Road will remain open allowing access to Carter Lane without escort.
A fully signed diversion route will be in place whilst work at this location is carried out using the A46 and Stragglethorpe Road.


Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout.

Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Tithby Road, Bingham, approximately 80 metres south of its junction with The Banks, from Saturday, 2nd August to Wednesday, 6th August 2025. Temporary Traffic Signals – Nottingham Road, Bingham, 4th to 6th August 2025
Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Nottingham Road, Bingham, approximately 50 metres from its junction with Meadowsweet Hill, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily, starting Monday, 4th August until Wednesday, 6th August 2025.
