Roadworks and Traffic Restrictions

  • Temporary Traffic Signals – Grantham Road, Bingham, 5th January to 20th February 2026

    Rolling temporary two- and three-way traffic signals will be in operation on Grantham Road, Bingham, from Monday, 5th January until Friday, 20th February 2026. The signals will be in place 24 hours a day and manually controlled during peak times (7:00–9:30 AM and 3:30–7:00 PM). These works are being carried out by Severn Trent Water for main renewal works.

  • Temporary Road Closure – New Lane, Aslockton, 26th January to 6th March 2026

    A temporary 24-hour road closure will be in place on New Lane, Aslockton, from its junction with Abbey Lane to its junction with the A52. The closure will begin at 8:00 AM on Monday, 26th January and will remain in place until 5:00 PM on Friday, 6th March 2026.

    This closure is required to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out main renewal works.

    Diversion route: Abbey Lane – Dark Lane – Old Grantham Road – A52 and vice versa

  • Temporary Traffic Signals – Nottingham Road, Bingham, 15th to 16th December 2025

    Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Nottingham Road, Bingham, between its junctions with Mallow Way and Meadowsweet Hill. The signals will be active between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Monday, 15th December and Tuesday, 16th December 2025. These works are being carried out by Via East Midlands for the installation of a new tactile crossing. For further information, please refer to the attached document.

  • Temporary Traffic Signals – Fosse Way, Car Colston, 10th to 12th December 2025

    Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Fosse Way, Car Colston, adjacent to the Margidvnvm Roundabout, from Wednesday, 10th December to Friday, 12th December 2025. The signals will operate 24 hours a day and will be manually controlled during peak hours (7:00–9:30 AM and 3:30–7:00 PM) to prevent traffic build-up on the A46. These works are being carried out by Via East Midlands for main repair works. For further information, please refer to the attached document.

  • Temporary Traffic Signals – Chapel Lane, Bingham, 15th to 19th December 2025

    Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Chapel Lane, Bingham, between its junctions with Singleton Drive and Burrows Drive. The signals will be in place 24 hours a day from Monday, 15th December until Friday, 19th December 2025. They will be manually controlled during peak hours (7:00–9:30 AM and 3:30–7:00 PM). These works are being carried out by Via East Midlands for the construction of a new access. For further information, please refer to the attached document.

  • REVISED Temporary Lane Closure – Chapel Lane, Bingham, 26th November to 9th December 2025

    A temporary lane closure will be in place on Chapel Lane, Bingham, adjacent to the Margidvnvm Roundabout, from Wednesday, 26th November until Tuesday, 9th December 2025. The restriction will be in effect 24 hours a day.

    These works are being carried out by Cadent Gas to urgently trace and excavate for the repair of a gas escape.

    The extension is required due to the complexity of the works, which involve deep excavation and a medium pressure gas leak

    Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on B692 Fosse Way, Bingham, adjacent to its junction with Dunsmore Avenue. The signals will be active 24 hours a day from Monday, 1st December to Friday, 5th December 2025.   • Temporary Traffic Signals and Parking Restrictions – Long Acre, Bingham, 17th to 20th November 2025

    Temporary three-way traffic signals and parking restrictions will be in place on Long Acre, Bingham, from its junction with The Paddock to its junction with Fisher Lane, from 8:00 AM on Monday, 17th November until 5:00 PM on Thursday, 20th November 2025.

    The signals will be manually controlled during peak periods (7:00–9:30 AM and 3:30–7:00 PM). These restrictions are required for Severn Trent Water to carry out excavation works to construct a wastewater manhole chamber. For more information, please refer to the attached document.

  • Temporary Traffic Signals – Nottingham Road, Bingham, 10th to 12th November 2025

    Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Nottingham Road, Bingham, at its junction with Stanhope Way, from Monday, 10th November to Wednesday, 12th November 2025. The signals will be active 24 hours a day. Intelligent lights and TUSC boards will be deployed on Stanhope Way to assist traffic flow. These works are being carried out by Cadent Gas to alter and relay a domestic gas service. For further details, please refer to the attached document.
