Roadworks and Traffic Restrictions

Temporary traffic control will be in place on The Banks, Bingham, at its junction with Fisher Lane, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM on Monday, 27th January 2025 until Tuesday, 28th January 2025. Stop and Go boards will be used to manage traffic flow while Via East Midlands, on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, undertakes activities to apply double yellow lines. Temporary three-way traffic signals and a temporary traffic regulation order (TTRO) for parking suspension will be in effect on Long Acre, Bingham, outside the Wheatsheaf Public House, continuously from Monday, 13th January 2025 to Thursday, 16th January 2025. This setup is necessary to facilitate a deep excavation by Severn Trent Water for the construction of a new wastewater manhole chamber. A temporary road closure will be in effect on Tithby Road, Bingham, from its junction with A52, extending north for 50 meters, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM starting Saturday, 11th January until Thursday, 16th January 2025. This closure is to facilitate electricity cable reinforcement works by National Grid. The diversion routes are as follows:

• For 11th and 12th January: Traffic will be diverted via Saxondale Roundabout, A52, Bingham Interchange, A46 Fosse Way, Farndon Roundabout, Cattle Market Roundabout, Brownhills Roundabout, Winthorpe Interchange, and A1 to Barrowby Road.
• From 13th to 16th January: Traffic will be redirected via Bingham Bypass and Saxondale Roundabout to Nottingham Road.

Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Nottingham Road, Bingham, at its junction with Balmoral Road, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM on Thursday, 12th December 2024. These measures are necessary to facilitate Severn Trent Water’s repair and replacement of a faulty manhole frame and cover. Temporary three-way traffic signals will be in operation on Chapel Lane, Bingham, approximately 300 meters south of its junction with Ward Road, continuously from Friday, 22nd November 2024 until Tuesday, 26th November 2024. These signals are necessary for Severn Trent Water to urgently repair a large burst water main. Please be advised to plan for potential delays and refer to the attached document for more details.

Temporary multi-way traffic signals will be operational on Long Acre, Bingham, at its junction with The Paddocks, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM from Monday, 2nd December 2024 until Wednesday, 4th December 2024. This installation is necessary for Via East Midlands, on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, to install a new bus stop with markings. Temporary road closures and restrictions will be in effect at multiple locations in Bingham for carriageway maintenance works from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, starting Monday, 18th November 2024 until Friday, 29th November 2024. The affected roads are:

• Long Acre: From Nottingham Road to Market Street.
• Tithby Road: From Nottingham Road to The Crofts.
• Fairfield Street: From Nottingham Road northwards for 60 meters.
• Nottingham Road: From Long Acre southwest for 40 meters.

During these times, driving, waiting, and loading will be prohibited on these stretches of road. The designated alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Tithby Road, A46, Fosse Way, Chapel Lane, Kirkhill, and vice versa.
