Roadworks and Traffic Restrictions

  • Temporary Traffic Signals – Nottingham Road (Junction with Tithby Road Long Acre & Fairfield Street), 17th of November

    Temporary four-way traffic signals will be in operation on Nottingham Road, Bingham (at its Junction with Tithby Road Long Acre & Fairfield Street) between 9:30am and 2:00pm from Friday the 17th of November to Friday the 18th of November. Carriageway repairs will be undertaken by VIA East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council. For further details, please see the attached document.

  • Essential Maintenance Works – A52 Saxondale

    Essential safety improvement works will be carried out on the A52, both Southbound and Northbound, from Saxondale Roundabout to New Lane Road. The work includes refreshing road markings, installing central hatching, high friction surfacing, and a vehicle-activated sign near Tithby road junction. These improvements aim to enhance road safety for all users.

    The work is scheduled to start on the 8th of January 2024 and is expected to be completed by the 14th of February 2024. It’s important to note that the planned roadworks are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

    During this period, full carriageway closures will occur from Monday to Friday between 8pm and 6am, and some weekend road closures are expected, which will be confirmed nearer the time. Fully signed diversion routes will be in place, agreed upon with the Local Authority.

    Access to businesses and residences will be maintained wherever possible, and efforts will be made to minimize disturbances and noise. For further information, please see the attached document.

  • Temporary Road Closures – Bingham Christmas Fair

    Temporary road closures will be in effect at the following locations in Bingham for the Christmas Fair:

    • Market Place – for its entire length.
    • Market Street – from its junction with Union Street to its junction with Newgate Street.

    These closures will be in place from 13:00 hours until 21:00 hours on Friday, 24th November 2023. The event is organised by Bingham Town Council. For further information, please see the attached document. In case of emergency, contact 01949 831445.

  • Roadworks Notice – Grantham Road, Bingham (From Long Acre to Willow Road)

    Continuous 24-hour three- and four-way temporary traffic signals will be in place on Grantham Road, Bingham, stretching from the junction with Long Acre to Willow Road starting Monday, 6th of November through Monday, 27th of November 2023. Only one set of signals will be operational at any given time during this period.

    These measures are necessary to facilitate the replacement of gas mains. For more detailed information, please refer to the attached document.

  • 4-Way Temporary Traffic Signals – Nottingham Road, Bingham (Junction with Tithby Road, Long Acre & Fairfield Street), 17th of November

    Four-way temporary traffic signals will be in place at the junction of Nottingham Road, Tithby Road, Long Acre, and Fairfield Street in Bingham on Friday the 17th of November, from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm. This is to facilitate essential carriageway repairs. We advise motorists to expect delays and to consider alternative routes where possible.   • Welbeck Grove Footpath works, 20th November to 11th December

    Welbeck Grove footpath will be closed, commencing from its junction with Welbeck Grove and extending in a northerly direction for 35 metres. The restriction will be in place 24 hours a day, starting from 08:00 hours on Monday 20th November 2023 until 17:00 hours on Monday 11th December 2023. This is to facilitate gas mains replacement works. During this period, both 4-way and 2-way signals will be operational as required. An alternative route will be available via the footpath between Welbeck Grove and Forest Road – Forest Road and vice versa. Please refer to the attached document for further information.

  • Temporary Traffic Signals – Nottingham Road (at its Junction with Thoresby Road & Meadowsweet Hill), 6th to 30th of November

    Temporary 2 & 4-way traffic signals will be in operation on Nottingham Road, Bingham (at its Junction with Thoresby Road & Meadowsweet Hill) continuously, 24 hours a day, from Monday the 6th of November to Thursday the 30th of November 2023. This is due to gas mains replacement works. Please see the attached document for further information.

  • Lane Closure – Margidunum Roundabout, Bingham (Inner Ring), 30th of October to 10th of November

    A lane closure on the inner ring of the Margidunum Roundabout, Bingham will be in effect between 9:30am and 3:30pm from Monday the 30th of October to Friday the 10th of November. Please see the attached document for further information.

  • Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Parking Restriction – Multiple Locations

    Via East Midlands will be carrying out large scale patching repairs on the following roads:

    Bingham:

    • Long Acre East – for its full length.
      • Date & Time: From 08:00am on Monday, 23rd of October 2023 until 15:30pm on Thursday, 26th of October 2023.
    • Willow Road – for its full length.
      • Date & Time: From 08:00am on Monday, 23rd of October 2023 until 15:30pm on Wednesday, 25th of October 2023.
    • Maple Close – for its full length.
      • Date & Time: From 08:00am on Thursday, 26th of October 2023 until 15:30pm on Friday, 27th of October 2023.
    • Poplar Close – for its full length.
      • Date & Time: From 08:00am on Monday, 30th of October 2023 until 15:30pm on Tuesday, 31st of October 2023.
    • Cedar Close – for its full length.
      • Date & Time: From 08:00am on Wednesday, 1st of November 2023 until 15:30pm on Thursday, 2nd of November 2023.

    Sutton Bonington:

    • Pasture Lane – from its junction with Main Street to its junction with Pasture Close.
      • Date & Time: From 08:00am on Tuesday, 5th of December 2023 until 15:30pm on Monday, 11th of December 2023.

    A temporary prohibition of driving and parking restriction will be in place on both sides of the mentioned roads between 08:00am and 15:30pm during the specified dates. Please see the attached document for further information.

  • Temporary Prohibition of Driving – Carnarvon Place (from its Junction with Carnarvon Close to its Junction with Kirk Hill), 30th of October to 3rd of November

    Due to pipe repair works, a temporary prohibition of driving will be enforced on Carnarvon Place, Bingham (from its junction with Carnarvon Close to its junction with Kirk Hill) starting from 08:00 hours on Monday, 30th October 2023, until 17:00 hours on Friday, 3rd November 2023.
