Roadworks and Traffic Restrictions

  • Road Closure and Traffic Regulation – Long Acre, Bingham, 5th-9th February

    Long Acre, Bingham, will experience a temporary road closure and traffic regulation from its junction with Fisher Lane eastwards for 120 meters. This will be effective from 08:00 hours on Monday 5th February 2024 until 17:00 hours on Friday 9th February 2024. This measure is necessary for the installation of a new electricity substation at the fire station. Temporary prohibition of waiting on both sides and the operation of two-way traffic lights will be enforced during this period. For further details, please see the attached document.

  • Temporary Traffic Signals – Tithby Road, Bingham (at its Junction with Langar Road), 19th of January

    Temporary three-way traffic signals will be in operation on Tithby Road, Bingham (at its Junction with Langar Road) between 9:00am and 3:00pm on Friday the 19th of January. Frame and cover repair works will be carried out by BT. For further information, please see the attached document.

  • Road Closure – Long Acre East, Bingham, 12th – 15th February

    A temporary road closure will be in effect on Long Acre East, Bingham, for its full length from 8:00am on Monday, 12th February 2024 until 3:30pm on Thursday, 15th February 2024. This closure is due to large-scale patching repairs and will be removed each evening. Alternative routes include Cogley Lane, Butt Road, Grove Road, Rutland Road, East Street, and Fosters Lane.   • Essential Safety Improvement Works – A52 Saxondale

    Essential safety improvement works on the A52 from Saxondale Roundabout to New Lane will commence on January 29, 2024, and are expected to be completed by March 28, 2024. This includes night-time full carriageway closures, Monday to Friday, between 8pm and 6am. Signed diversion routes will be in place. Efforts will be made to minimize disruption and maintain access to local businesses and residences. For more information or inquiries, please refer to the attached document.

  • Road Closure and Temporary Prohibitions – Bingham Gas Mains Replacement Scheme, 15th January – 17th February 2024

    As part of the Bingham Gas Mains Replacement Scheme, temporary road closures and prohibitions will be in place at various locations, including the entire length of the footpath from Rowan Close to Cogley Lane, and Dark Lane from its junction with Grantham Road to Perry Grove. These restrictions are scheduled from 07:00 hours on Monday, 15th January 2024, to 18:00 hours on Saturday, 17th February 2024. For detailed information, please refer to the attached document.

  • Road Closure – Nottingham Road, Bingham, 22nd-23rd January

    Please be advised that Nottingham Road, Bingham, will be closed from its junction with Chestnut Avenue to outside house number 21. This closure will be in effect from 9:30am on Monday 22nd January until 5:00pm on Tuesday 23rd January 2024. The closure is due to damaged carriageway repairs by Severn Trent Water. An alternative route via Fairfield Street, Kirk Hill, Chapel Lane, and others will be available. For more information, please refer to the attached document.

  • Road Closure – Meadowsweet Hill, Bingham, 19th – 20th December

    A temporary road closure will be in place on Meadowsweet Hill, Bingham, between Nottingham Road and Betony Close, from 09:50 hours on Tuesday 19th December to 16:00 hours on Wednesday 20th December 2023, for water pipe repair works by Severn Trent Water. An alternative route will be via Nottingham Road – Mallow Way – Meadowsweet Hill. For further information, please see the attached document.

  • Temporary Traffic Signals – Mill Hill Road (Between Bluebell Bank & Honeysuckle Grove), 15th of December

    Temporary three-way traffic signals will be in operation on Mill Hill Road, Bingham (between the junction of Bluebell Bank & Honeysuckle Grove) from 7:00am to 4:00pm on Friday, the 15th of December. The signals are due to defective manhole repair/replacement works by Severn Trent Water. For further details, please see the attached document.

  • Temporary Traffic Lights – Nottingham Road, Bingham (Near Meadowsweet Hill Junction), 12th to 15th December

    Temporary three-way traffic signals will be in operation on Nottingham Road, Bingham (approximately 22 meters from the junction with Meadowsweet Hill) continuously from Tuesday, 12th December to Friday, 15th December 2023. The works, conducted by Severn Trent Water, involve renewing a long communication pipe. For further details, please see the attached PDF.

  • Temporary Prohibition of Driving – Cropwell Road, Langar

    A temporary prohibition of driving will be in place on Cropwell Road, Langar, from its junction with Main Street to its junction with Langar Lane. The prohibition will be effective from 07:00 hours on Thursday, 4th of January 2024, until 17:00 hours on Saturday, 6th of January 2024. The work will be carried out by Severn Trent Water for new water connections. Residents’ access will be maintained.
