A temporary lane closure will be in place on Chapel Lane, Bingham, adjacent to the Margidvnvm Roundabout, from Wednesday, 26th November until Tuesday, 9th December 2025. The restriction will be in effect 24 hours a day.

These works are being carried out by Cadent Gas to urgently trace and excavate for the repair of a gas escape.

The extension is required due to the complexity of the works, which involve deep excavation and a medium pressure gas leak

Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on B692 Fosse Way, Bingham, adjacent to its junction with Dunsmore Avenue. The signals will be active 24 hours a day from Monday, 1st December to Friday, 5th December 2025. Temporary three-way traffic signals and parking restrictions will be in place on Long Acre, Bingham, from its junction with The Paddock to its junction with Fisher Lane, from 8:00 AM on Monday, 17th November until 5:00 PM on Thursday, 20th November 2025.

The signals will be manually controlled during peak periods (7:00–9:30 AM and 3:30–7:00 PM). These restrictions are required for Severn Trent Water to carry out excavation works to construct a wastewater manhole chamber. For more information, please refer to the attached document.

Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Nottingham Road, Bingham, at its junction with Stanhope Way, from Monday, 10th November to Wednesday, 12th November 2025. The signals will be active 24 hours a day. Intelligent lights and TUSC boards will be deployed on Stanhope Way to assist traffic flow. Temporary road closures and parking restrictions will be in effect in Bingham on Friday, 28th November 2025 between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM to facilitate the Bingham Christmas Fair, organised by Bingham Community Events.

Road Closures:

• Market Place – entire length

• Market Street – from its junction with Union Street to its junction with Newgate Street

• Station Street – entire length

No Waiting, Loading or Unloading (both sides):

• Long Acre – from its junction with Market Street to its junction with Fairfield Street

Alternative Route: Newgate Street – Fairfield Street – Long Acre and vice versa.

Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in place on Tithby Road, between Whitefields Farm and Crown Cottages, from Monday, 10th November to Wednesday, 12th November 2025. The signals will be operational daily between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM. These works are being carried out by Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to install verge marker posts on both sides of the carriageway. Temporary road closures will be in effect in Bingham to accommodate the Remembrance Day Parade on Sunday, 9th November 2025, between 10:15 AM and 11:15 AM. The following roads will be closed during this time:

• Station Street – from its junction with Market Place to its junction with Langtry Gardens

• Union Street – from its junction with Market Street to its junction with Needham Street
