Temporary Road Closure – St Marys Road, Bingham, 6th May 2026
A temporary road closure will be in place on St Marys Road, Bingham, from its junction with Church Close to its junction with Rutland Road, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Wednesday, 6th May 2026.
This closure is required for Severn Trent Water to replace a defective cover and frame. Please note that no diversion route is available.

Temporary Traffic Signals and Parking Restrictions – Long Acre, Bingham, 16th to 19th March 2026
Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Long Acre, Bingham, from its junction with The Paddock to its junction with Market Street, from 8:00 AM on Monday, 16th March until 4:00 PM on Thursday, 19th March 2026.
During this time, there will also be a temporary prohibition of parking (waiting, loading and unloading) in the same section of road. These measures are required for Severn Trent Water to carry out a hydrant repair.

Temporary Traffic Signals – Chapel Lane, Bingham, 12th January EXTENDED to 27th February 2026
Rolling temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation at various locations on Chapel Lane, Bingham, between 90 metres north of Braithwaites Road and Moorbridge Road. The signals will be in place daily from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, starting Monday, 12th January until Friday, 27th February 2026.
These works are being carried out by Severn Trent Water for the installation of a new water main.

Temporary Lane Closure – Chapel Lane, Bingham, 23rd to 25th February 2026
A temporary lane closure will be in place on Chapel Lane, Bingham, at its junction with Fosse Way, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM daily, starting Monday, 23rd February until Wednesday, 25th February 2026.
The restriction is required to allow Via East Midlands to carry out coring works.

This role is not a desk bound data driven role. At Bingham, you’ll be a conduit between strategic and corporate ambitions and a key part of small but driven team.
Bingham Town Council is an established and supportive influence within a market town steeped in community spirit. We have received the Foundation Award, from the Local Council’s Award Scheme, in recognition of our achievements in governance, community engagement, and council improvement.
Working with the Clerk to deliver the Council’s services and ambitious projects, will be a key part to your role. You will support the improvement of services, management of assets and the progression of new and exciting projects.
In this role, no two days will the same, and your duties far from mundane. You will be trained in all aspects of the office administration including cemetery management, risk management and project support.
Focussing on the management and maintenance responsibilities of the Town Council’s assets, you will liaise with community tenants, contractors and the Council’s grounds maintenance team. You will also oversee the health and safety objectives of the Town Council.

The Requirements…
- Experience working in and progressing a small team
- At least three years of customer/community-focused experience
- IT proficiency; comfortable using Word and Excel for basic daily office tasks
- Letter writing; report writing and project support experience
- A composed and confident character who enjoys variety and problem solving
- Experience in keys areas including; project support, contract/asset management & health and safety

This closure is required for Severn Trent Water to access a manhole and carry out repairs within the chamber.
