Roadworks and Traffic Restrictions

  • Temporary Traffic Signals – Long Acre, Bingham, 3rd to 7th February 2025

    Temporary three-way traffic signals will be in operation on Long Acre, Bingham, opposite the junction with Market Street, around the clock from Monday, 3rd February 2025 to Friday, 7th February 2025. This arrangement is necessary to facilitate the installation of a new bus stop by Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council.   • Temporary Road Restrictions – Long Acre & Walkers Close, 27th to 31st of January

    Temporary prohibition of waiting and multi-way signals will be in effect on Long Acre, Bingham (both sides, from its junction with Needham Street to a point 15m west of its junction with Walkers Close) and the entire length of Walkers Close from 09:00 hours on Monday, 27th of January until 16:00 hours on Friday, 31st of January.   • Temporary Parking Restrictions – Long Acre, Bingham, 13th to 16th January 2025

    Temporary parking restrictions will be in effect on Long Acre, Bingham, from its junction with Market Street to its junction with The Paddock, from 8:00 AM on Monday, 13th January 2025 until 5:00 PM on Thursday, 16th January 2025. These restrictions are necessary to facilitate excavation works by Severn Trent Water for a manhole installation. Please note, there will be no road closure, but parking along this section will be prohibited during the works.   • Temporary Traffic Signals – Douglas Road, Bingham, 10th to 12th January 2025

    Temporary three-way traffic signals will be in place at the junction of Douglas Road and Carr Road from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM from Friday, 10th January 2025 until Sunday, 12th January 2025. These measures are necessary for Severn Trent Water to perform lining of a defective sewer line from within the manhole.   • Roadworks Notice – The Banks, Bingham, 27th to 28th January 2025

    Temporary traffic control will be in place on The Banks, Bingham, at its junction with Fisher Lane, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM on Monday, 27th January 2025 until Tuesday, 28th January 2025. Stop and Go boards will be used to manage traffic flow while Via East Midlands, on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, undertakes activities to apply double yellow lines.   • Temporary Traffic Signals – Long Acre, Bingham, 13th to 16th January 2025

    Temporary three-way traffic signals and a temporary traffic regulation order (TTRO) for parking suspension will be in effect on Long Acre, Bingham, outside the Wheatsheaf Public House, continuously from Monday, 13th January 2025 to Thursday, 16th January 2025. This setup is necessary to facilitate a deep excavation by Severn Trent Water for the construction of a new wastewater manhole chamber.   • Temporary Road Closure – Tithby Road, Bingham, 11th to 16th January 2025

    A temporary road closure will be in effect on Tithby Road, Bingham, from its junction with A52, extending north for 50 meters, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM starting Saturday, 11th January until Thursday, 16th January 2025. This closure is to facilitate electricity cable reinforcement works by National Grid. The diversion routes are as follows:

    • For 11th and 12th January: Traffic will be diverted via Saxondale Roundabout, A52, Bingham Interchange, A46 Fosse Way, Farndon Roundabout, Cattle Market Roundabout, Brownhills Roundabout, Winthorpe Interchange, and A1 to Barrowby Road.
    • From 13th to 16th January: Traffic will be redirected via Bingham Bypass and Saxondale Roundabout to Nottingham Road.

  • Temporary Traffic Signals – Nottingham Road, Bingham, 12th December

    Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Nottingham Road, Bingham, at its junction with Balmoral Road, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM on Thursday, 12th December 2024. These measures are necessary to facilitate Severn Trent Water’s repair and replacement of a faulty manhole frame and cover.   • Temporary Traffic Signals – Tithby Road, Bingham, 26th to 28th November

    Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Tithby Road, Bingham, approximately 150 meters south of its junction with The Banks, continuously for 24 hours from Tuesday, 26th November 2024 until Thursday, 28th November 2024. This installation is necessary for Severn Trent Water to conduct hydrant renewal works. Motorists are advised to expect potential delays and plan their travel accordingly.   • Temporary Traffic Changes – Market Street, Bingham, 25th to 29th November

    There will be a temporary suspension of the one-way system on Market Street, Bingham, for its entire length, from 8:00 PM on Monday, 25th November 2024 until 6:00 AM on Friday, 29th November 2024. This change is to allow traffic to flow in both directions to facilitate resurfacing works on Long Acre.
