  • Road closures around Market Place for the Bingham Classic Car & Bike Show, 17 August

    From 7:30am until 4:30pm on Sunday the 17th of August, the follow traffic restrictions will be in place:

    • Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of roads:
      a. Market Street, Bingham – From its junction with Union Street to its junction with Newgate Street
      b. Market Place, Bingham – For its entire length
    • Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road:
      a. Long Acre, Bingham – For its entire length

  • Temporary Traffic Signals – B692 Fosse Way, Bingham, 16th to 18th July 2025

    Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on the B692 Fosse Way, Bingham, approximately 200 metres northeast of its junction with the A52, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM daily, starting Wednesday, 16th July until Friday, 18th July 2025. These measures are required for the installation of signage in the verge by Nottinghamshire County Council. For further details, please refer to the attached document.

  • Temporary Road Closure – Langar Road, Bingham, 16th to 17th July 2025

    A temporary road closure will be in place on Langar Road, Bingham, from its junction with Langar Road extending west for 20 metres, from 9:30 AM on Wednesday, 16th July 2025 until 6:00 PM on Thursday, 17th July 2025. This closure is required for carriageway resurfacing works being carried out by Severn Trent Water. Please note that no diversion route is possible for this closure. Road users are advised to plan alternative arrangements during this period. For further details, please refer to the attached document.

  • Road closures and restrictions for the Bingham Summer Fair, 14 June 2025

    From 8am until 4:30pm on the 14th of June there will be road closures in place for the Bingham Summer Fair.

    TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTIONS:

    • Market Street, (Market Place closed)
    • Station Street will be accessible via Cherry Street

    BUS STOPS AFFECTED:

    • COOP Market Square, relocated with temporary stop at Longacre next to fire station

  • Bingham Town Council – Councillor Vacancy – South East Ward

    Following a resignation, a vacancy for a Councillor in the South East Ward is available for co-option.

    Bingham Town Council owns and manages various sites within the Town, including the Cemetery and Linear Park nature reserve. The council also provides support to local community organisations and promotes Bingham’s sense of place through its grant aid scheme, events, floral displays, and Christmas lighting displays.

    Bingham Town Council is very active and has many strategic priorities that they would like to deliver for the Town. This includes progressing the re-development of the Wynhill site to provide improved and increased community facilities, refurbishment of Cogley Lane play area, improvements to Linear Park and refurbishment of the Old Court House. The Council is also continuing its work with other key stakeholders on the parking provision in the Town.

    If you are interested in representing the views of your community and would like to be involved in making decisions about Bingham and its amenities, contact the Town Clerk in the first instance for details on how to apply.

  • Temporary Traffic Signals – Tithby Road, Bingham, 22nd to 26th May 2025

    Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in place on Tithby Road, Tithby, directly outside Whitefields Farm, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily, starting Thursday, 22nd May until Monday, 26th May 2025. These measures are necessary for reactive maintenance works being carried out by Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council. Please allow extra time for your journey and follow all traffic management signage in place. For further information, please refer to the attached document.
