  • Volunteer to become a Tree Warden

The Town Council is supporting this scheme, if you are interested, please get in touch so that the preparatory work the Town Council needs to do, can be completed in time for Rushcliffe Borough Council’s launch meeting on Saturday 13 April.

  • Misuse of Tetra Pack Recycling in Bingham

    Refuse sacks containing food waste, cardboard and dog mess has been placed in the new Tetra Pack Recycling container in Lidl’s car park. This is making emptying of these bins extremely difficult and leaving the bin full for those using the bin correctly. Out of six locations, Bingham is the only area currently experiencing this problem. If the increased costs incurred for the emptying continues, Bingham may risk losing this facility so please use it correctly.

  • Carnarvon Play Park Refurbishments

    Carnarvon Play Park Refurbishments

    Work to refurbish the Carnarvon play park (off Orchard Avenue, near Aldi) will start on the 25th of February, with contractors scheduled to be on site for approximately one month. The green area will remain open but the play area itself will be fenced off and closed to the public. It is expected that the new play area will be open to the public in time for Easter.

  • PUBLIC NOTICE: Clearance of Land (near bridleway/Butt Field)

    Week Commencing 4th of February 2019

    The land within the fenced areas adjacent to the bridleway and access road to Butt Field are being cleared during the week commencing the 4th of February.

    Both the bridleway and access road will remain open but please remain vigilant and careful.

    A banksman will be on-site and will have the area under their supervision.

  • Temporary Traffic Signals on Moor Lane, Sunday the 27th of January

    Temporary traffic signals will be in place on Moor Lane (at its junction with Newgate Street) from 8am until 6pm on Sunday the 27th of January. Please see the attached document for further details.

  • Temporary Traffic Signals on Nottingham Road on 4th of January

    Temporary 2 Way Traffic Signals will be in place on Nottingham Road (east of Thoresby Road) on the 4th of January 2018 from 09:30 until 15:30. Please see the attached document for further information.

  • Market Street Parking Restrictions, 7th-9th of January

    UPDATED 02/01/2018

    Between 08:00 on the 7th of January and 17:00 on the 9th of January, no parking will be possible on Market Street between Newgate Street and Eaton Place. Additionally, 3-way traffic signals will be in place between 08:00 and 17:00 on the affected days.

    Chapel Lane, from its junction with Moorbridge Road to Fosse Way (Old A46), will be closed:

    • 07.00 hours Saturday 12th January 2019 until 22.00 hours Sunday 13th January 2019
    • 07.00 hours Saturday 19th January 2019 until 22.00 hours Sunday 20th January 2019
