Consultation on proposed Public Space Protection Order for dog fouling/control of dogs in public spaces
Rushcliffe Borough Council:
Rushcliffe Borough Council is proposing a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) in relation to dog control, this will be for 3 years from April 2022 and will replace existing controls on dog fouling in the borough. We are consulting with the community to get their views on the proposal where the following activities must be adhered to:
- Dog faeces to be removed immediately from any open land in the Borough of Rushcliffe to which the public has access.
- Anyone in control of a dog must have with them a suitable means to pick up dog faeces whilst walking a dog and be deposited appropriately.
- Dogs to be kept on a lead in designated areas as directed by signage, ie Rushcliffe Park
- Dogs to be put on a lead when requested to do so by an authorised officer
- Dogs to be excluded from fenced/gated play and sports areas, cemeteries and churchyards.

NottAlone – Local mental health advice and help for young people
NottAlone is a new website sharing local mental health advice and help for young people in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, all in one place.
If you are a young person, a parent or carer or a professional who supports young people’s mental health, NottAlone can provide you with information, advice and where to go to get help locally; in person, online or by phone.
Visitors to the NottAlone website can search the site according to the specific mental health issue they need help with and there are different versions of the information for young people, parents and carers and professionals, including school/college staff.
Funded by the Department for Education Wellbeing for Education Return Project, NottAlone was developed by young people, parents, carers and professionals from Nottinghamshire County and Nottingham City councils and NHS trusts, as well as local charities and organisations.

Nottingham Children’s Centre Service Christmas Toy Appeal 2021
Nottingham Children’s Centre Service:
We have delivered Christmas presents to families in need, living in the Rushcliffe district for many years. Following the success of doing our own toy appeal last year we have decided to run the campaign again.
There are a number of ways you may be able to assist us:
- Donate a new toy (unwrapped) at your local Children’s Centre in Rushcliffe
- If you are a School / Setting / Community Venue etc, you could be a collection point for your local area and collect toys on our behalf
- Any other ideas or suggestions on how you could support us are welcome
- Would you like to nominate a family living within Rushcliffe to receive a donation

Trent Barton mainline diversion due to roadworks in Radcliffe on Trent
Trent Barton:
From Wednesday 6 October until April 2022, the Bingham Road junction in Radcliffe will be shut.
Our mainline will divert via Cropwell Road in both directions so missing the following stops:
- New Road (towards Nottingham)
- Eastwood Road (both ways)
- Golf Road (both ways)
- Bingham Road (both ways)
Customers will need to use the Harlequin stop or New Road (towards Bingham) and Vicarage Lane (towards Nottingham). There will be an additional temporary stop put in place on Cropwell Road outside Radcliffe Court for journeys towards Nottingham.
