A 24-hour road closure will be in place on Grantham Road, Bingham, from its junction with the A52 to its junction with Nightingale Way, between 8:00 AM on Monday, 26th January and 5:00 PM on Friday, 20th February 2026.
In addition, parking will be suspended on both sides of Long Acre, from a point 50 metres east of its junction with Market Street for a distance of 80 metres.
These restrictions are necessary to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out water mains renewal works.
Diversion route: Long Acre – Tithby Road – A52 and vice versa.

Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation at various locations along Chapel Lane, Bingham — from 90 metres north of Braithwaites Road to Moorbridge Road. The signals will be active daily from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, starting Monday, 12th January until Friday, 23rd January 2026. These works are being carried out by Severn Trent Water for the installation of a new gas main.

A temporary 24-hour road closure will be in place on New Lane, Aslockton, from its junction with Abbey Lane to its junction with the A52. The closure will begin at 8:00 AM on Monday, 26th January and will remain in place until 5:00 PM on Friday, 6th March 2026.

A temporary road closure will be in place on the A52 between Gamston, the RSPCA junction and Bingham Interchange. Work will include inspection and repairs of drainage, lighting, signs, and vegetation clearance.
Work will be carried out overnight, between 8pm and 6am as follows:
Gamston Roundabout to RSPCA junction – Monday 5 January 2026 2 nights Lane 1 closure in both directions
RSPCA junction to Bingham Road – Wednesday 7 January 2026 Full closure in both directions – diversion via Stragglethorpe Road, A46 Northbound to Bingham Interchange.
Bingham Road to Bingham Interchange – Thursday 8 January 2026 – 2 nights. Full closure in both directions– diversion via Bingham Interchange, A46 southbound, Stragglethorpe Road.
Fully signed diversion routes will be in place whilst work is carried out at these locations.
During closures, there will be escorted access for residents of Grantham Road and side roads. Main Street and Bingham Road will remain open allowing access to Carter Lane without escort. There will be no bus service available.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout.

The signals will be active between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Monday, 15th December and Tuesday, 16th December 2025. The Mayor of Bingham, Councillor Tony Wallace, was delighted to attend the Christmas Tree Festival at St Marys and All Saints Church in Bingham. The trees from businesses and community groups will be on display from Friday 05 December 10am till 5pm, Saturday 06 December 10am till 5pm and Sunday 07 December 1pm till 5pm.
